Do I need to be a writer to work with you?

What services do you offer?
We offer ghostwriting, autobiography & memoir writing, ebook writing, children's books, book editing, proofreading, book publishing, book marketing, book cover design, custom illustration, author websites, article writing, and web content writing — all under one roof.
How do I get started?
Simply reach out through our contact form, call +1 (646) 540 9824, or email info@bookbridgepublishers.com. We'll schedule a free consultation call to discuss your project, then send a custom proposal — usually within 24 hours.

Writing Questions

Ghostwriting, memoirs, and articles
What is ghostwriting?
Ghostwriting is when a professional writer creates content that is credited to someone else. You bring the ideas and story; we do the writing. Your name appears on the cover as the author, and you own 100% of the rights and royalties.
How does the memoir writing process work?
We use an interview-based process. You talk — we listen, record, and transcribe. Our ghostwriter then turns your memories into a beautifully written book in your voice. You review each chapter and approve at every step.
How long does it take to write a book?
Timelines depend on length and complexity. A short ebook (10K–20K words) typically takes 2–4 weeks. A standard book (40K–60K words) takes 6–10 weeks. Memoirs and full-length nonfiction can take 3–9 months depending on the interview process.
Will the writing sound like me?
Yes. We invest significant time learning your voice, style, and personality through interviews and written samples. The finished book reads as if you wrote it yourself — because in every meaningful way, you did.
Can you write in my native language?
Our primary writing language is English. For other languages, we offer bilingual support for Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese — or we can write in English and arrange translation to your target language.

Editing & Proofreading

Polishing your manuscript
What's the difference between editing and proofreading?
Editing addresses structure, flow, language, and content — it shapes and refines the manuscript. Proofreading is the final quality check that catches typos, punctuation errors, and formatting inconsistencies just before publishing. Editing comes first; proofreading comes last.
What types of editing do you offer?
Four levels: developmental editing (big picture), line editing (sentence-level language), copy editing (grammar and consistency), and proofreading (final pass). We'll recommend the right level based on where your manuscript stands.
Will editing change my writing voice?
No. Preserving your voice is one of our core principles. Every edit is tracked, and we only suggest changes that strengthen your writing — never overwrite it.
Do you offer a free sample edit?
Yes. We'll edit the first 1,000 words of your manuscript for free so you can see the quality and style of our editing before you commit to a full project.

Publishing Questions

Print, ebook, and distribution
What platforms will my book be published on?
Depending on your package: Amazon (Kindle + paperback + hardcover), Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play, Barnes & Noble, IngramSpark, Audible, and more. You'll always be told exactly which platforms are included.
Do you provide an ISBN?
Yes. Every publishing package includes a free ISBN and barcode, plus registration paperwork. If you already have an ISBN, we can use yours instead.
How long does publishing take?
Ebook-only publishing usually takes 2–3 weeks. Complete print + digital publishing takes about 30 days from final manuscript. Rush delivery is available on request.
Will I receive printed copies of my book?
Yes. Our print publishing packages include author copies of your book. You can also order additional copies at author-discount pricing at any time after publishing.
Do you publish children's books?
Absolutely. We publish board books, picture books, early readers, and chapter books — with full-color illustrations, hardcover and paperback editions, and distribution on all major children's book platforms.

Pricing Questions

How much things cost and how we price
How much does ghostwriting cost?
Pricing depends on word count, genre, research depth, and timeline. Typical projects range from $0.08 to $0.25 per word. Request a free quote and we'll send an exact project price — no hourly billing, no surprises.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Most projects are split into milestone payments — typically 50% to start and 50% upon delivery, or 3–4 payments across longer projects. We'll work with you to find a schedule that fits your budget.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. Your quote is all-inclusive for the scope we agree on. There are no setup fees, subscription fees, or charges you haven't agreed to in writing. Optional add-ons are always quoted separately and clearly.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a money-back guarantee on sample work — if you don't like the quality of a sample edit, sample chapter, or sample proofread, you pay nothing. For full projects, refund terms are clearly stated in your service agreement.
Do I need to pay royalties to Book Bridge?
Never. You keep 100% of every royalty your book earns. We're a service provider — we charge a fixed project fee and take zero percentage of your book sales or future income.

Rights & Ownership

Who owns what — and what you keep
Do I own the copyright to my book?
Yes — 100%. Once your book is delivered and paid for, all copyright and ownership transfer to you. Your name appears as the sole author on the cover and in all registrations.
Will the ghostwriter's name appear on my book?
No. Ghostwriters remain anonymous by contract. Your name is the only name on the cover, and we never reveal who wrote the book unless you ask us to in writing.
Can I use the cover design and illustrations elsewhere?
Yes. Cover designs, illustrations, and any other creative assets we deliver are fully yours with worldwide commercial rights — for your book, website, marketing, social media, and any future use.
Can you reuse my story or characters for another client?
Never. Every project is 100% unique to the client. We never reuse, resell, or republish your content. All work is confidential and original.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. We're happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before starting work — especially for memoirs, business books, and other sensitive projects. Just let us know and we'll have one prepared for you.
